DIY Day Camp: Fiber Arts!

Attention to all the crafty kids out there! Relume is thrilled to announce our first-ever summer camp series, designed to ignite creativity, teach new skills, and, most importantly, have a blast while doing it. Join us for an unforgettable summer filled with exciting projects, imaginative exploration, and endless fun!

A camp week is Monday-Thursday, with each session being from 9 am to 3 pm. There are three different camps people can sign up for- flower power, accessories, and fiber arts. We accept ages 9-14 for all camps and kids will have the option to attend the full week or just individual days. A full camp week costs $300 and each individual day costs $90. 

Small snacks and water will be provided, but students will be expected to bring their lunch each day. 

Here is the itinerary and the dates for DIY Day Camp: Fiber Arts- 

(Session 1: July 22- July 25th, Session 2: August 19th-August 22nd)

• Day 1- Fiber arts camp is all about learning new skills. Day one will focus on learning the basics of knitting. After everyone has gotten enough time to practice, we will wind down with yarn painting. 

• Day 2- Day two will be divided into two different focuses- embroidery and macrame. The students will learn beginner stitches, and if there is time make their own design. They will also learn different styles of knots to create macrame wall art or plant hangers. 

• Day 3- Day three and four will both be focused on sewing. Learning the parts of sewing machines, the do’s and the don’ts of how to sew, and start working on their own drawstring bag. 

• Day 4- Day four will finish up the drawstring bag from day three and make their own pillowcases to take home.
