Welcome to Relume!

Location: Relume’s Storefront in Capitol Hill, Relume’s Studio in SE DC, and off-site crafting events

Hours: 3 - 4 shifts per week. Each shift is 5-7 hours long.

Pay: $18.40 / hour

Responsibilities:

Retail

• Welcome and engage with customers, assist them with purchases
• Clean and restock store throughout the day
• Assist customers of all ages with walk-in craft bar
• Be proficient in the following crafts: bead making, watercolor painting, charm jewelry, candle making, and permanent jewelry (training provided)
• Set up stations for different crafts
• Assist throughout the process of the craft
• Processing new inventory arrivals
• Informing customers of shop promotions and events, answer frequently asked questions
• Perform end of day cleaning duties
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
• Process customer payments through Point-of-Sale system
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice & recommendations as needed
• Assist with administrative work
• Other tasks as assigned

Production

• Assist with various production tasks at Relume’s studio space, including candle-making, order packing, and other administrative tasks 
• Wick, pour, and decorate candles in bulk 
• Wrap and tag books
• Help keep studio tidy and supplies organized 
• Coordinate re-ordering of supplies when necessary 

Qualifications:

• Crafty & Creative
• Outgoing people person with excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable in fast-paced work environments
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently
• Weekend and weekday availability
• Car not required but preferred
